Kids Feel at Ease at Palos Heights Family Dental

At Palos Heights Family Dental, we understand that the children we treat have different needs than our adult patients. We know that you want your kids to grow up happy and healthy, and their oral health is a huge component of their overall health. We’ve designed our office with children and their families in mind, from our comfortable waiting areas and amenities to the special care Dr. Arora and Dr. Patel take when working with children who are scared of the dentist.

Designed With Kids in Mind

We’ve stocked our office with kid-friendly books and toys to help entertain youngsters during their appointments. We use our No Cavity Club to encourage kids to care for their own teeth and avoid cavities. Best of all, at the end of every appointment, kids can choose a treat from our treasure chest – we find that this is usually the highlight of the visit!

Feeling Nervous? No Problem!

If your child is nervous about going to the dentist, we understand! This is very common among children. Our team is experienced in helping our youngest patients feel comfortable and safe during their treatment. Parents are encouraged to sit with their children during their exams and treatment. You and your child can also visit our office before their first appointment in order to get to know our team beforehand.

Your child should have their first dental exam when they get their first tooth or on their first birthday, whichever comes sooner. If your child is used to practicing good oral hygiene from a young age, you’ve given strong habits they can rely on for years to come. Remember to brush your teeth twice daily for two minutes each time, floss every day, and visit our office regularly for cleaning and exams.
