Get In On the February Fun
We’re looking forward to February! There is so much to discover and do. If you’re like us, you might be wondering whether the Groundhog will see his shadow or who will agree to be your Valentine. The shortest month is full of fun holidays. Did you know that February 28th is National Tooth Fairy Day? February offers many reasons to celebrate, have fun, and learn.
We honor Black History Month, American Heart Month, and many others, but today, our focus is National Children’s Dental Health Month. We have some activities and materials planned for next month and wanted to share them with you so you can be ready to celebrate with us!
Time for Our Close Up
You’ll often find us talking about dental health, not just in our office but also out and about in the community. That looks a little bit different this year! We’re excited to have a few interactive Zoom sessions planned for next month with local elementary school classes. Kids will learn best practices for taking care of their teeth and gums. Those smiles on the screen will make our month.
Seeing Yourself with a Healthy Smile: Dental Health Tips & Tidbits Infographic
We’re skipping the traditional Valentine’s Day candy and giving you this fun and helpful infographic. The main thing to know about children’s dental health is that it’s equally important at every age of childhood, from about six months throughout the teenage years. There are three segments to consider:
- Pre-K: Ages 6 months to 6 years
- Elementary: Ages 6-12 years
- Teenagers: Ages 12-19 years
Each segment is unique and has its own best practices. This infographic has something for everyone.
